YAUGHER TRAILS NETWORK - THE NORTHERN LOOP
Yaugher Super Loop #7
Rating: More Difficult - Distance: 11.5Km. The Yaugher Super Loop is the longest trail in Forest and it provides access to the entire Yaugher trail network. It is a mixture of single track and fire trails with a full range of trail features all with A and B lines. The trail handles wet weather well and dishes up a ride that summarises what is awesome about the Forrest MTB experience. On the super loop your elevation will only change by about 60 metres....so there are not a lot of climbs. The start is pretty easy ....but don’t be fooled....you’ll get a great workout as the run is fast and there are plenty of obstacles!!
Grass Trees #8
Rating: Very Difficult - Distance: 1.5Km
Loaded with features Grass trees includes log rides, rollovers, step ups, drop offs, big 4X berms and jumps. As a trail Grass Tree is short enough that you can repeat multiple times.....and it’s so much fun that you’ll want to!
Grass Tree will challenge most riders....don’t end up picking bark out of your teeth; a clean run here is a fair achievement!
Marriners Run #9
Rating: Very Difficult - Distance: 4.5Km
With long climbs and in and out of valley fast flowing descents, this trail will test your limits. The middle section has enough tight technical features to pack a punch for the most experienced rider. Marriners Run boasts some of the best flowing berms that you’ll ever ride....this trail was built with real mountain bikers in mind!
When you visit Forrest, hitting this trail is a must as it is the signature Forrest MTB experience!
Rating: More Difficult - Distance: 3.5Km
Named after the man who started the Forrest MTB dream.....is Foxtail Forrest’s quickest run?? This trail takes you from the Yaugher trailhead to Tabletop and on to join the Yaugher Super Loop. Long fast straights and open corners provide a fun flowing ride with well-spaced technical features.
Rating: More Difficult - Distance: 4Km
J2 is another long flowing descent trail from the Yaugher trailhead. This trail has plenty of features along the way and joins the Yaugher Super Loop. Don’t be fooled by J2 trail rating, although it’s not steep, or fast, most sections contain solid B lines. The runs sandy base keeps the trail well drained.

Yo Yo #12
Rating: Very Difficult
A tight and technical trail that as the name suggests goes up and down to test your legs, lungs and skills. Yo Yo is built on the side of a hill and has plenty of different options.....although Yo Yo can be disorientating, it’s a lot of funs as you’ll find yourself taking different lines on each run!
Casper Black #13
Rating: Very Difficult - Distance: 3Km
Casper Black has twisting technical climbs and descents and the walls of tea tree characterise this tough and challenging trail. Casper Black not for the faint hearted, your lung capacity will be tested......but the effort is rewarding!!
Barre Warre (Bar-rah War-rah) #14
Rating: Easy - Distance: 2Km
The Barwon River takes its name from the local indigenous word Barre Warre (Bar-rah War-rah) meaning from hills to sea. This high vantage point looks down on the Barwon River valley taking in the view back over the Forrest Township. A good warm up or warm down ride.
Barre Warre is Yaughers family friendly loop. This runs is a favourite with locals as there’s a few sneaky surprises along the way!
Rating: More Difficult - Distance: 5.5Km
This is the trail that started all the rest. Hand built by Jeff Fox and his fist dog Geena. This long flowing trail has some great fire trail descents and climbs with awesome valley views. The southern
loop has some tough "off camber" technical climbing thrown in for good measure.
Tiger Loop #16
Rating: More Difficult - Distance: 3Km
The Tiger Loop provides a link from the Forrest- Birregurra Tiger Rail Trail to the Yaugher Trails network. This trail does cross the Forrest Birregurra Road so please take your time and cross safely!
